Important context
RNSDevs is a hobby project — not a business.
RNSDevs is run by a teenager based in Belgium as a personal hobby project. It is not a registered company, does not operate as a business, and makes absolutely zero profit — not a single euro. Every website is built for free because building real projects is the best way to learn and grow as a developer. That is the entire arrangement. These terms exist to be transparent about how things work and to protect both parties. If you have any questions, feel free to write to hello@rnsdevs.com.

Definitions
Key terms used throughout this agreement

The following definitions apply throughout these terms:

TermDefinition
"RNSDevs"A personal hobby project run by a teenager based in Belgium. Not a registered company or commercial entity of any kind.
"Client"Any individual, company, or organisation that submits a project brief or engages RNSDevs for web development services.
"Project"Any website, web application, or digital deliverable developed by RNSDevs for a Client.
"Deliverable"The live, functional website made available to the Client upon completion of a Project.
"Source code"All underlying code, files, scripts, stylesheets, assets, and technical components constituting a Project.
"Agreement"These terms and conditions, accepted by the Client upon submission of a project brief.
02
Scope of service
What RNSDevs provides and what is excluded

RNSDevs provides custom web development services completely free of charge. This is a personal hobby project run by a teenager — not a business — and no profit of any kind is made.

What is included

Design and front-end development — Back-end and server-side logic where applicable — Deployment and hosting configuration — DNS setup and domain connection — Minor post-launch revisions within a reasonable scope.

What is not included

Ongoing maintenance contracts — Guaranteed SLA or uptime commitments — Legal, financial, or regulatory compliance advisory — Content creation or copywriting unless explicitly agreed.

External costs — always the Client's responsibility

All external costs are always borne exclusively by the Client. This includes, without limitation: domain registration and renewal fees, paid hosting plans, premium third-party APIs, external subscriptions, and any other services not directly operated by RNSDevs. RNSDevs will never incur external costs on behalf of a Client.

03
Intellectual property & ownership
Who owns what — read this section carefully
Core ownership clause

RNSDevs retains full and exclusive ownership of all websites and source code produced. This includes all design, layout, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and any other code, assets, or creative work produced in connection with a Project — whether delivered or still in development — in perpetuity, without exception.

The Client receives a fully operational website deployed and accessible at the agreed domain. This constitutes the entirety of what is transferred to the Client. No source code, design files, or underlying assets are transferred to the Client unless a separate written agreement is established to that effect.

  • RNSDevs retains all copyright, design rights, and intellectual property rights in every deliverable, in perpetuity, without exception.
  • The Client may not copy, redistribute, resell, or repurpose any code, design, or asset from a delivered Project without prior written consent from RNSDevs.
  • RNSDevs may use any Project as a portfolio reference, case study, or example of work, including displaying it publicly on rnsdevs.com or in promotional materials.
  • Content supplied by the Client (text, images, logos, brand assets) remains the property of the Client. RNSDevs takes no ownership of Client-supplied content.
  • The free nature of the service is the direct consequence of this ownership arrangement — it is the trade that makes building websites at no cost possible.
04
Client obligations
Responsibilities of the Client during and after a project
  • Accurate information: The Client must provide truthful, accurate, and complete information in their brief and throughout the project.
  • Content rights: The Client confirms they hold the rights to any content, images, logos, or materials submitted for inclusion in the Project.
  • Lawful use: The Client agrees not to use the delivered website for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose.
  • Timely communication: The Client is expected to respond to feedback requests or queries from RNSDevs within a reasonable time to avoid project delays.
  • No reverse engineering: The Client may not attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate source code from the live website.
05
Delivery & timeline
How and when projects are delivered

All timelines provided are estimates and not binding commitments. RNSDevs endeavours to deliver within the communicated timeframe, but no guarantee is given with respect to specific delivery dates. As this is a hobby project, timelines are handled with best-effort intent.

  • A realistic estimate is provided after reviewing the project brief. Scope and complexity are the primary determining factors.
  • Delays caused by the Client — including late provision of content, slow feedback, or unclear requirements — are not the responsibility of RNSDevs.
  • Projects are considered complete once deployed and approved by the Client, or after 14 days without substantive feedback following delivery.
06
Revisions & changes
Post-delivery amendments and scope changes
  • Minor revisions — text changes, colour adjustments, layout tweaks, adding a new section — are handled without hesitation within a reasonable time after delivery.
  • Major changes — complete redesigns, significant feature additions, or full restructuring — fall outside the original scope and are discussed individually.
  • Revision requests made long after project completion may not be accommodated, particularly if they conflict with other ongoing work.
07
Domain & hosting
Infrastructure, uptime, recommended providers, and self-hosting

RNSDevs provides free hosting for Projects deployed under the .rnsdevs.com subdomain, subject to available server capacity. For custom domains, the Client is responsible for purchasing and maintaining the domain registration through a provider of their choice. All external costs are always exclusively the Client's responsibility.

Recommended provider

For both web hosting and domain registration, RNSDevs recommends CheeseHosting (cheesehosting.net). If the Client wishes to use a different hosting provider, this must first be discussed and agreed with RNSDevs before any deployment takes place.

  • No uptime guarantee is provided. RNSDevs makes reasonable efforts to keep Projects online but is not liable for downtime caused by hosting providers, DNS issues, or factors outside its control.
  • Subdomains under .rnsdevs.com remain the property of RNSDevs. RNSDevs may remove a subdomain if the associated Project violates these terms.
08
Privacy & data
How personal information is handled

RNSDevs is committed to handling all personal data with care and discretion, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as applicable in Belgium.

  • Information submitted via the project brief form is used solely to respond to the brief and deliver the Project. It is never sold, shared, or used for marketing purposes.
  • Email addresses are retained for the duration of the project relationship and a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping purposes.
  • The Client may request deletion of their personal data at any time by writing to hello@rnsdevs.com.
09
Limitation of liability
The boundaries of responsibility
Important limitation

RNSDevs is a personal hobby project run by a teenager — not a registered business — and all services are provided entirely free of charge with zero profit made. Accordingly, RNSDevs' liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. RNSDevs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to any Project or these terms. The maximum aggregate liability of RNSDevs shall not exceed €0, reflecting the entirely non-commercial, zero-profit nature of the service.

10
Termination
Ending the collaboration — by RNSDevs or by the Client
Termination by RNSDevs

When RNSDevs wishes to end the collaboration and remove or hand over a site, RNSDevs will first enter into discussion with the Client about the way forward. If the Client does not respond within 14 days of being contacted, RNSDevs reserves the right to make this decision unilaterally without further consultation.

  • Transfer at RNSDevs' discretion: When RNSDevs initiates termination, it may choose to either remove the website entirely or transfer it to the Client. This choice is made solely at RNSDevs' discretion.
  • Rights upon transfer: If RNSDevs initiates the termination and chooses to transfer the website to the Client, the Client acquires full rights to that transferred site from the moment of transfer. This is the only scenario in which ownership rights pass to the Client.
Termination by the Client

If the Client chooses to end the collaboration with RNSDevs, the website will be permanently and entirely removed. No source code, files, or assets will be transferred to the Client in this scenario. The Client acknowledges this consequence when accepting these terms.

11
Acceptance & governing law
How these terms take effect

By submitting a project brief through the RNSDevs contact form — and ticking the confirmation checkbox — the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions in their entirety.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or a Project shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium.

RNSDevs reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The version in effect at the time a project brief is submitted governs that project.
