Privacy policy

We only ask for what we really need, and we never sell or share your data.

Last updated: 25 September 2026

1. Who is responsible?

RNSDevs is an unregistered, non-commercial hobby project run by Nisse and Robbe from Belgium. We are responsible for processing the personal data described in this policy. Questions about your privacy? Email us at hello@rnsdevs.com.

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian privacy law.

2. What data do we collect?

When you request a website through the request form:

  • your first and last name;
  • your email address;
  • the name of your organisation or business (optional);
  • what you tell us about your project: what the website is for, a title, a description and any extra information.

When you email us or send us a message on Instagram: your name, your email address or username and the content of your message.

When you visit the website: we don’t keep visitor statistics on rnsdevs.com ourselves and we don’t set tracking or advertising cookies. A few external services do process your IP address for technical reasons, see section 5. Visiting a website we built for someone else? See section 6.

Please don’t enter sensitive data in the form (such as health, religion or financial details). We don’t need it.

3. Why do we use your data?

PurposeLegal basis (GDPR)
Reviewing and answering your request and emailing you a confirmation with a reference numberSteps taken at your request before a collaboration (Art. 6(1)(b))
Building your website and communicating with you during the projectPerformance of our agreement (Art. 6(1)(b))
Answering your questions by email or on InstagramLegitimate interest: giving you an answer (Art. 6(1)(f))
Keeping your request in our internal overview so it doesn’t get lostLegitimate interest: properly following up on requests (Art. 6(1)(f))

We never use your data for advertising, newsletters or profiling, and we don’t make automated decisions about you.

4. How long do we keep your data?

  • Requests we don’t accept: at most 6 months after our reply.
  • Projects: for as long as we work together and then at most 2 years after the last contact, so we can still help you with questions about your website.
  • Other messages: as long as needed to handle your question, and at most 1 year.

Want us to delete your data sooner? Just ask.

5. Who do we share your data with?

We never sell your data and don’t pass it on to others for their own purposes. Only Nisse and Robbe have access. To run the website, we rely on a few service providers:

  • Our web hosting provider, which hosts the website and the database of requests, and our email provider, which sends and receives the emails with your request.
  • Google Fonts (Google): the fonts on this website are loaded from Google, which means Google sees your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • ipapi.co: to show you a language suggestion (Dutch or English), your browser looks up once per visit which country your IP address is from. We only receive and keep the country code, not your IP address.
  • YouTube: some portfolio pages contain a video, which we load in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube can only process data once you play the video.
  • Instagram (Meta): if you message us there, Instagram’s terms also apply.

Some of these services may process data outside the European Economic Area. They do so with the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

6. Visitors of websites we build

Every website RNSDevs builds for a client runs our visitor statistics script. When you visit such a website, we receive:

  • which page you view;
  • which website you came from (only the domain name, e.g. google.com);
  • an anonymous code that changes every day. We derive it from your IP address and browser type, but we don’t store the IP address or browser type themselves.

The script sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does nothing if your browser has “Do Not Track” enabled. We only use this data to count visitors, for ourselves and for the owner of the website. Because the code changes daily, we cannot recognise you or follow you across days or websites.

For these statistics we process data on behalf of the owner of that website (the data controller). Legal basis: the legitimate interest of the owner and of RNSDevs in knowing how the website is used (Art. 6(1)(f)). Questions or objections? Contact the website’s owner or us.

7. How do we protect your data?

The website uses a secure connection (https). Our internal overview of requests can only be accessed with a personal account and password. The form includes a spam filter and we don’t ask for more data than necessary.

8. Your rights

You always have the right to:

  • access your data and receive a copy;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict or object to the processing;
  • receive your data in a common format to pass it on to someone else.

Send your request to hello@rnsdevs.com. We reply within one month. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to confirm that it’s really you.

Not happy with how we handle your data? Let us know first and we’ll look for a solution together. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels) or with the supervisory authority in your own country.

9. Young people

Are you under 16 and would you like to request a website? Please do so together with a parent or guardian.

10. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the way we work changes. The date at the top shows when that last happened. Please also read our cookie policy.
